William Nicholas Ambrose

William was born in 1858 in Morgan County, West Virginia.¹ William's father was Nicholas T. Ambrose and his mother was Elizabeth Ann "Bethany" O'Brien. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Ambrose and Sophia Marquart. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John, Peter, James, Mathias, Jacob, George, Mary, Anna and F.. He was the second youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 22 in 1880.
