John W. Crum

John was born about 1838 in Highland County, Ohio.¹ John's father was John Crum and his mother was Rachel Mc Cartney. His paternal grandparents were Christiana Schmidt and Rev. Christian Crum Sr. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Christian, Joseph, Christina, Mary, Catherine and Emily. He was the youngest of the eight children.
