William J. R. Medaris 
William was born in 1841 in Ohio. William's father was John (Redd) Redmond Medaris and his mother was Rachel Beezley. His paternal grandparents were Oliver Medaris and Wilmuth Redmond. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named Oliver, John, Wilmuth, Sarah, Jane, Elizabeth, Ann, Rachel, Matilda and Maria. He was the youngest of the eleven children.-
