Foulques, known as the Younger, was born about 1092 in France.  The Younger's father was Count Foulques IV ("the Rude") de Anjou and his mother was Bertrade de Montfort.  His paternal grandparents were Count Geoffrey ("Ferreol") de Gatinais and Ermengarde de Anjou; his maternal grandparents were Seigneur Simon I de Montfort and Agnes d'Evereux.  He was an only child.  He died on November 13th, 1144 in Jerusalem, Israel.  He was buried in Church of Holy Sepulcher, Jerusalem.
