George D. Ambrose 
George was born about 1836 in Virginia.1 George's father was William Ambrose and his mother was Mary Ann Weller. His paternal grandparents were Mathias Ambrose and Rosanna Clover. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the four children.-
