James Madison Ambrose 
James was born on November 1st, 1828 in Highland County, Ohio. James' father was George Ambrose and his mother was Margaret "Polly" Rizer. His paternal grandparents were Rev. William Hanby Ambrose and Susanna B. Crum; his maternal grandparents were Rev. Mathias G. Rizer and Mary Michael. He had four brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Lewis, John, Joseph, Isaac, Katherine, Susannah, E., Emma, Elizabeth and Ambrose. He died at the age of 27 on December 20th, 1855 in Highland County, Ohio. He was buried in Ambrose Cemetery, Newmarket Twp, Highland County, Ohio.1 -
