Benjamin Ansley

Benjamin was born in 1790 in North Carolina. Benjamin's father was William Ansley and his mother was Sarah Strayhorn. His paternal grandparents were William Ansley and Rebecca Cox; his maternal grandfather was William Strayhorn. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Gilbert, Rebecca, William, David, Thomas, Jesse, Nancy, Samuel, Margaret and Sarah. He had five half-sisters named Winifred, Mary, Sarah, Louisa and Elizabeth.
