Phillip Vorhees Medaris 
Phillip was born in 1865. Phillip's father was Abraham Medaris and his mother was Sarah Elisabeth Bledsoe. His paternal grandparents were James Davis Medaris and Levisa King. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Francis, William, Sarah, Mary, Levisa, Juda, Polina, Maria, Margaret, Ella and Laura. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.
